Didier Deschamps calls Karim Benzema ‘pathetic’ after liking Instagram picture

Hey, remember that time Real Madrid star, France worldwide, and one-time Rihanna canoodler Karim Benzema was arrested and charged with aiding a blackmail plot against fellow France global Mathieu Valbuena in relation to a possibly made-up sex tape?

Benzema has been excluded from the France side, missing out on Euro 2016, since he was charged for allegedly blackmailing Valbuena over footage on a mobile phone.

Benzema laid the blame for the fallout of the sex tape scandal, on the alleged victim, Valbuena. “He’s got to stop this nonsense.”He’s really got to stop making things up”. His continued lying is driving me mad.

“I trusted players who answered well, I also incorporated young players because I consider that they have great potential. Sex tape, he just had to tell the truth about what really happened, and he would not have had all of this“.

Can Emmanuel Macron save Karim Benzema?

As a result of the allegations, the Galacticos striker was left out of Euro 2016, and has remained an outcast in the worldwide scene since the scandal was made public.

When asked what he thought about Benzema’s social media activity, Deschamps replied: ‘I would say only one word – it’s pathetic’. Former French President Francois Hollande was also quoted as saying in a book a year ago that Benzema was not an example of morality.

“Then when he was about to leave Karim said: ‘What shall I do?”

As the scandal lingers on, Benzema – preparing for a second successive Champions League final with defending champions Madrid – is growing frustrated by the 32-year-old Lyon winger.

In an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, Benzema claimed Lyon midfielder Valbuena was lying about his role in the affair.

Upon the emergence of the tape, Valbuena told Le Monde: “He [Benzema] wasn’t aggressive, and he didn’t speak to me firmly, directly about money, but when you insist that I meet someone. hmmm”.

The last time France played, against Luxembourg and Spain in March, Deschamps also faced criticism for leaving out Alexandre Lacazette, who has 35 goals for Lyon this season.
