Comey’s dad says son ‘laughs’ over subject of leaking

President Donald Trump is predicting that former FBI Director James Comey’sleaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible”.

Trump also said he’d be “100%” willing to testify to his statement under oath.

On Sunday, Schumer also said he would like to clear up the matter of whether Trump does indeed have tapes of his conversations with Comey, as the president has suggested.

Kasowitz accused Comey of misleading senators about the timing of his leak – Comey said he did it only after being alarmed by a tweet in which the president said the fired Federal Bureau of Investigation boss “better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

He testified Thursday he didn’t think about the possibility of their talks being recorded until Trump tweeted about it after his firing, “James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

“It’s my judgment that I was sacked because of the Russian Federation investigation”, Comey said toward the end of more than two hours of testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

While Trump’s staunchest supporters have tried to paint Comey’s testimony as vindication for the president, few Republicans who don’t work for Trump stepped in to defend the president’s version of his contacts with Comey.

On June 9, Trump took to social media to respond to Comey’s testimony.

Comey kept detailed notes of all his meetings with Trump because he was “concerned he might lie” about them afterwards.

Comey said during his testimony that he hopes there were recording of their interactions.

However, it still remains unclear what exactly Trump was referring to as Comey accused him of many things during his hearing.

TRUMP JR.: The dates seem very confusing to me, based on what I saw in The New York Times and based on his claim that it was because of a tweet from my father the day after? Instead, Trump let his lawyer do the talking for him.

As for Trump’s tweet attack on Comey, Pelosi said no one at the White House appears to be “brave enough” to tell the president that his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office you serve”. “I’m very anxious about his fitness”. The officials were not permitted to speak publicly about legal matters still under consideration. Chris Murphy urged investigators in the Senate to call upon Trump.
