Bayern label Cristiano Ronaldo talk the ‘hoax of the day’

Cristiano Ronaldo’s relationship with Jose Mourinho is a reason to doubt reports of a return to Manchester United for the Real Madrid star, according to Sid Lowe.

Paris Saint-Germain have a long-standing interest in signing him and AC Milan’s new Chinese owners have been in contact this summer with his agent Jorge Mendes. In the current ranking, Real Madrid ranks fourth while Ronaldo is sixth.

United may have been told that Ronaldo is there for taking if they want him but whether they actually believe that to be the case is another matter. Definitely United will be in a position to afford this deal.

“This is the model that will continue to define Real Madrid“.

But neither the Real star, on global duty with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, nor the club itself have confirmed reports that he is heading for the exit at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, Daily Mail stated that Real Madrid might demand more than £200 million for Ronaldo. And even if United are forced to pay a world record fee to sign a player already in his 30s, it is a deal they could comfortably pull off.

Florentino Perez will serve another term as Real Madrid president after standing unopposed for re-election, the club have announced.

Real Madrid issued a statement fully supporting the player, claiming they were “absolutely convinced of his innocence”, but Ronaldo is unsatisfied with the club over their attempts to defend him on the matter.

He has won three Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles and two King’s Cups in his eight years in the Spanish capital.

Prior to joining Real, Cristiano made his name at Man United.

And that could be the chance that Chelsea take to try and bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge, with Roman Abramovich keen to make a big-money move in order to persuade Antonio Conte to stay, so says a report in The Sun.

In quotes published on Marca’s website, Perez said: “We have built a legendary team with the best players from Spain and the world, but also with many players from our youth academy”.
