Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting a standalone release, but Activision seems to be going for the sneak announcement route as they have still not given up a date yet even after E3 2017. The tipster, who apparently works at a game retailer, reckons the game is due to release on June 27, and will hit the $40 retail mark in the US.
Having previously leaked details of Call of Duty: WW2 prior to its initial reveal, this is more than likely a legitimate retail copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. However, the box art doesn’t say if the Variety Map Pack is included. Other retailers from earlier this month claimed a June 20th release, so we’re still awaiting final confirmation on a specific release date.
Previous listings had the game down for a June 20 release. There’s now no sign of it in the United Kingdom, however.
Now, obviously a PS4 standalone release doesn’t mean it’ll definitely come to PC.
Fans have been requesting a separate release for Modern Warfare Remastered for some time, not really feeling the desire to pay $80 for an Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition in order to play it.
