Out of the 72,440 students who qualified in the entrance examination, 61,716 had submitted the marks scored in the Plus Two examination for preparation of the final rank list. In KEAM 2017, according to Mathrubhumi portal, Shafil Maheen N of Kozhikode has topped the engineering entrance exam by scoring 587.1312 while Vedant Prakash Shenoy of Kottayam came second. In what comes as a little surprise, all the top 10 positions have been bagged by boys in a country where girls usually top in the academics. Sudip Manji of Kottayam and Naquash Nazar of Kozhikode bagged second and third ranks respectively. The fourth and fifth rank holders are Anand George of Kottayam and Nandagopal M of Kozhikode.
The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has released the rank list of the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Courses (KEAM) entrance examination 2017. The ranks were announced by higher education secretary Usha Titus in the absence of education minister C Raveendranath here.
Due to discrepancies in the application, the results of 107 candidates in the engineering entrance examination have been withheld.
Nearly 90,806 candidates have showed up for Engineering Stream, out of which 72,440 students were qualified.9858 showed up for Pharmacy and 8599 got qualified. Rise to weightage has been given to the scores gotten in KEAM 2017 and the marks acquired in the 12th standard qualifying examination for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together after the institutionalization methodology was utilized.
