Hamas rejects Islamic State’s claim of killing of Israeli officer

The attack with guns and knives near Jerusalem’s Old City on Friday killed a border policewoman and wounded three other people. The attacker was shot dead.

Following the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone consultation with the chief of police and public security minister, and made a decision to cancel the family visits, a police statement read. Two of those wounded were Palestinians from east Jerusalem.

“Let the Jews watch for the demise of their state at the hands of the soldiers of the Caliphate”, the statement added. It was the first time that the organization took responsibility for a terror attack inside Israel, a target which the group warned it will “wipe out”.

In terms of ISIS claims of responsibility for Friday’s bloodshed, Rosenfeld said the three suspects coordinated between themselves.

The Israeli defense body COGAT announced the decision Sunday, shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that preparations to destroy the homes of the three Palestinian assailants were underway. Like the youngest generations in many countries today, the Oslo generation are looking forward to replacing their current incompetent leadership with new, young, energetic leadership that will take them to war against Israel, and lead to atrocities, mass killing, rape and torture of both Palestinians and Israelis, and a region soaked with blood.

Israeli policemen secure the scene of the shooting and stabbing attack outside Damascus gate in Jerusalem’s old city June 16, 2017.

Untold in the headline, is the fact that the 3 dead Palestinians had carried out the stabbing and shooting attacks on Israeli officers (which killed a female Israeli officer) in the Old City in Jerusalem. He said it was a move to “confuse the media and distort the reputation of the Palestinian resistance”.

Meanwhile, Israeli military officials said they believed Friday night’s attacks were carried out by local individuals without a formal link to any group.

But the claim, which came with the Islamists facing defeat in their Iraq and Syria bastions, was swiftly dismissed by Palestinian militant groups. All of the terrorists were from the village of Deir Abu-Mashal, a village near Ramallah and had been previously arrested for security related offenses.

Of those, at least 170 were carrying out attacks, Israel says.

It has claimed several rocket attacks from the Sinai into Israel.

“Instead of condemning the attack, Fatah… issued a statement in which it condemn (s) the officers who killed the terrorists, and praised the murderers as heroes”, Netanyahu said, referring to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas’s party. Family members of the attackers said they were deeply religious men who acted on their own.
