Lucas Digne says Barcelona were better than bitter rivals and LaLiga champions Real Madrid last season as the France global paid tribute to the work of former boss Luis Enrique. I only have one focus, one plan and that’s to play for Barcelona in the coming seasons.
“I have heard some rumours claiming that I could leave, but that is rubbish, it is fake news”, Digne told Mundo Deportivo. I can’t wait for the new season to begin.
Speaking exclusively to Omnisport, left-back Digne said: “It felt good to finish the season like we started it – winning a trophy”. I am going to work hard and fight so that I’m able to play more games and make my mark.
Diario Gol writes that the players in question are midfield trio Rafinha, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes as Barca look to soften the blow of having to pay €100M for their primary summer target.
“I want to form part of the future of this great club; to win the trophies that the club and fans deserve”.
The left-back has a contract with Barcelona until June 2021.
The France worldwide joined Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2016 and made 26 appearances in all competitions in his first season at Camp Nou. I always want more – just like my club. I am looking forward to winning many more trophies and big titles in the future with Barca.
The Bianconeri chiefs will obviously not be too keen on letting their star player leave, but it is clear Barcelona stand a better chance of agreeing a deal for Pjanic than for Verratti.
