Microsoft’s Killer Instinct is on its way to Steam

It’s been on PC since March 2016, but only through Microsoft’s Windows 10 store.

Today Microoft and Iron Galaxy released two new videos showcasing Killer Instinct’s upcoming new DLC character Eagle in action. This will make fans happy.

Killer Instinct’s 2013 reboot has developed a bit of a cult following over the last few years.

This is not the first Microsoft exclusive game to arrive for Steam in recent memory, with Halo Wars: Definitive Edition also making its way to Valve’s digital store earlier this year. The game has never been sold through Steam even though that was what many player wanted.

I know I, personally, can’t stand UWP apps, so I’m definitely more interested in getting the PC version of Killer Instinct now.

No details about the Steam version of the game have been released just yet, and we don’t have an official release window for it either.

Iron Galaxy’s hit brawler Killer Instinct is making its way to Steam sometime later this year, the developer announced after the Community Effort 2017 tournament in Orlando, Florida.

Iron Galaxy hasn’t really said why it has made a decision to release Killer Instinct via Steam after all this time, but I’m sure many fans will not be complaining about this.
