Pérez: Ronaldo will stay at Real Madrid

The French manager had told Ronaldo that Real Madrid team needs him and his winning mentality to guide the club to many more victories.

Ronaldo, Portugal’s all-time leading scorer, is the latest in a long line of soccer players in Spain – among them Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Neymar – to be caught up in cases over tax or transfers.

Subsequent reports have suggested that Ronaldo wants to make a move back to United, eight years after he left the club to move to Madrid in a world record £80m deal.

If Ronaldo does depart, a move to Bayern Munich is off the cards after the German giants took the unusual step of publicly denying rumours linking them with a swoop for the Portuguese ace.

“It was not the result we wanted, the team had nearly won and we suffered in the last minutes, but this is football”, he said. “It hasn’t finished yet and I don’t want to disturb the Portuguese team”.

“Obviously something has happened, something has affected him, his credibility”, Perez told Spanish radio station Onda Cero. I have found everything out through the newspapers.

Spanish outlet Diario Goal, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Mourinho doesn’t have a good relationship with Ronaldo following their time together at Real Madrid. We are very relaxed about this. My dedication and commitment will always be there as I seek to maintain the club’s values and secure as many pieces of silverware as possible.

“Wish and your dreams will come true”, might work in a ideal world, but Ronaldo will know just because he wants to go back to Manchester United, his former club, it doesn’t mean he will be able to.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo runs with the ball during the Confederations Cup, Group A soccer match between Portugal and Mexico, at the Kazan Arena, Russia, Sunday, June 18, 2017. He won three Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy and one FA Cup in those six seasons.

The 32-year-old has scored 406 goals in 394 appearances since joining Madrid from Man United in 2009.

“We do not see any reason not to continue with the players we have, including James“, he added.

“I do not know his tax situation very well”.

“I will defend [Ronaldo] at all costs as both a player and as a person”.

“He has to fulfil his fiscal obligations, like all”.
