Conor McGregor jumps to +500 against Floyd Mayweather Jr

Conor McGregor continues to assure fans and pundits that he’ll return to the Octagon after taking on Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match on August 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. “I don’t have to knock ’em out, this is a lovely art and people wanna pay to see it”.

“I have a very high fight IQ”, he said.

“I don’t really know him”.

It was likely all posturing, but Mayweather, while criticizing McGregor, said to Dana White, “You should have came and got me for the UFC, if you wanted a real champion!”

For YouTuber Zac Alsop, it meant a VIP backstage experience at the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather press conference in London by posing as a member of McGregor’s crew. And despite the Los Angeles crowd being firmly behind McGregor, Mayweather fired off verbal barbs that made his loyal legion of fans stand and cheer. I’ve been here before. He’s a warrior, and the best must fight the best. McGregor wanted this fight.

The two men are set to face each other in a boxing ring in Las Vegas on 26 August in what could be the richest fight in history. A fight against the undefeated Nurmagomedov would take that a step further. Mayweather won a 12-round unanimous decision.

Mayweather stands at 5ft 6in and has a reach of 6ft, but it appears he is trying to gain a psychological advantage over McGregor. However, Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) has scored a number of victories against big-name opponents including Arturo Gatti, Manny Pacquaio, Oscar De La Hoya, Jose Luis Castillo, Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, and Diego Corrales.

Bringing the microphone to his mouth, he said: “Dance for me, boy!“. We’ll see what unfolds.
