Off late, we have been hearing a lot about Xiaomi’s upcoming sub-brand, which is rumored to be called Lanmi. If the leaked poster is to be believed, there are a lot of features to be talked about, but since the image looks like an ad, we can not confirm the accuracy of the same. Recently, an image of a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone has leaked online, and this report suggests the device in the picture is Xiaomi 5X. We have seen a couple of leaks on the Redmi 5 smartphone with some specifications of the phone.
As per the leaked poster, the new Xiaomi Mi 5X would feature a 5.5 Full HD display with 1080 pixels of screen resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X ad banner further points at the presence of the dual rear camera setup.
The Xiaomi 5X will come in two variants, with the standard variant powered by the octa-core 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is the same one that was known earlier as the Xiaomi X1. An advertisement banner of the upcoming smartphone has now leaked online. The poster does not mention anything in regards to the resolution of the display, so that is something that will have to wait until details are revealed by Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi 5X is expected to feature a thin metallic body and it is expected to arrive in color choices like gold and black. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is indeed the alleged Mi X1. However, the report has said that the Xiaomi device, in its premium variant will include the Snapdragon 660 chipset and will have 6GB of RAM. Alongside the new sub- brand, Xiaomi will also announce the new handset, the Xiaomi 5X.
Xiaomi is now rumored to launch a new sub-brand this month. If the price tag is true, then it will compete with the likes of Oppo and Vivo, which are giving a tough competition to Xiaomi in Mainland China. That aside, it is expected to come with a 16MP selfie shooter. It will run Android 7.1.1 system and sport dual 12MP + 12MP cameras on the back with Sony and Samsung sensors. Rumors reveal that Xiaomi has decided on a July 26 launch date for the smartphone. All said, the Xiaomi 5X may not come to the Indian market.
