The Red Devils have invested heavily in youth over the summer, adding the likes of Largie Ramazani and Aliou Badara Traore to their ranks.
Manchester United are on the verge of completing a deal for Oliveirense youngster Bruno Amorim, Lusa has reported. However, Jose Mourinho’s side have been unable to make a breakthrough in negotiations with Inter over the sale of Ivan Perisic.
If the deal does indeed go through, Amorim would become Manchester United’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window after the captures of Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.
‘He (Amorim) had been promoted to the main squad but the scouting was already alert and chose to take him there, ‘ he told Agencia Lusa.
Both A Bola and O Jogo claim the player is now having a trial at the club and should be signing a contract with Manchester United soon.
‘We’ll receive training rights, because he’s always been trained here, although in monetary terms it may not be more than that because there may be other exchanges. The United first team will open the new Premier League season at home to Slaven Bilic’s West Ham.
Amorim has been scouted by United after impressing for Oliveirense in the Portuguese second division last season and has shown enough to warrant a move to Old Trafford.
