Deepika Padukone powerfully signs off 'Padmavati' trailer

Recently, Ranveer Singh's look as Alauddin Khilji was released on social media. Ranveer's latest posters of the menacing Sultan Alauddin Khilji created quite a buzz online.

However, the movie "Padmavati" is based on the 14th century.

Though the same can not be said for Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif as we all know the two shared cold vibes during the promotions of Jagga Jasoos. Many people were wondering why such timing - 13:03 PM? Even after learning that Bajirao loved Mastani (Deepika Padukone), Kashi was ready to put her pain aside for her kingdom and husband.

With Padmavati a story about passion, love and warfare, one can't help but draw comparisons to Sanjay's previous films like Ram Leela. The scenes that will stay in your mind are Ranveer Singh's blooded and intense avatars every time when he gets into the war zone.

Later in March, the group vandalized the Chittorgarh Fort. The film has been quite emotionally tough for Deepika, especially because she plays a character who commits 'Jauhar'. "And when one is working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he wants one to feel committed and feel the character all the time".

The visuals and special effects are excellent in the trailer that has little dialogue.

The three-minute video opens on a grand canvas showcasing the vast expanse of Chittor's fort and moves to handsome, love-filled visuals of Rani Padmavati (Deepika) and Ratan Singh (Shahid).

The words, "Rajputi kangan main utni hi taqat hai, jitni Rajputi talvar main", are the crux of the film that is backed by the heritage culture of Chittor - Mewar. A group of unidentified vandals attacked and set fire to the sets of the film in Kolhapur and destroyed the production set, costumes, and jewelry.

Padmavati is all set to rock the big screens worldwide on December 1, 2017!
