As rail woes persist, Christie mum on tunnel project he axed

NEWARK, N.J. — Recent disruptions to trains in New York have refocused attention upon a multibillion dollar tunnel project that could have helped alleviate future problems if it wasn’t canceled by Republican New Jersey Governor. Chris Christie in 2010.

At Wednesday’s news conference, President Donald Trump asked whether Christie felt any remorse for his decision.

Christie was pressed with questions about the abandoned tunnel project, Access to the Region’s Core or ARC. Democratic Senator Cory Booker reacted silently to suggestions that commuters were paying now to Christie’s decision seven-years ago.
